Grievance Procedures
The City of Bellevue takes its obligation to provide accessibility to its programs and facilities seriously. If you have a disability, you can make an online request for accessibility or accommodation. If you want to attend a city event, but have limited English skills, you can request an interpreter by contacting city staff associated with the event.
ADA Grievances
If you believe the city has not made reasonable efforts to accommodate you, you may file a complaint. All complaints should be presented in writing to Yvonne Tate, Bellevue's Citywide ADA coordinator (contact information in the right column of this page).
Please consult the Grievance Procedure Guide for details. A formal complaint must be filed within 180 calendar days of the alleged occurrence. The city will not officially act or respond to complaints made verbally.
Title VI Complaints
If you believe that you have not been treated equally because of your race, national origin, gender, disability, income or ability to speak English, then you have the right to file a discrimination complaint with the City of Bellevue. Print and fill out the form, then send it to Ms. Tate (contact information in the right column of this page).
