Child molestation suspect arrested

Suspect accused in molestation of three young victims

Bellevue police on Oct. 17 arrested a 64-year-old Seattle man suspected of molesting three children in Bellevue. The suspect, Telman Karimov, was charged in King County Superior Court with two counts of first-degree child molestation, a felony.

Bellevue Police became aware of Karimov in March, after CPS officials notified them of an allegation made by the parent of a four-year-old. Investigators learned that Karimov was giving private art lessons to the three children, 4, 9 and 11-years-old at the time, at a private facility in Bellevue. A police investigation indicated that Karimov had molested two of the children on multiple occasions.

The police investigation is ongoing. A letter has been sent to parents of children that Karimov has taught in the past, informing them of these allegations. Any parents who believe that their children may have been victimized by Karimov are being asked to contact Detective Trizuto at 425-452-2819.
